Bonny's Apple Pork Burgers
Inspired by one of our Farm Box subscribers, Bonny, these pork burgers have added flavour and moisture from the secret ingredient, apple!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs lazuli farms ground pork
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup bread crumbs or oatmeal
- 1 medium grated apple
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together by hand. Divide meat mixture into 8 to 10 peices. Form each into a burger patty. Aim for approximately 1 inch thickness. Heat grill to medium heat and grease grill. Place burgers onto grill. Cook each side until cooked through. To prevent sticking to the grill, avoid flipping burgers until the first side is cooked. Cook burgers to internal temperature of 160F to ensure they are cooked completely.
Enjoy with fresh tomato & lettuce on a your favorite burger buns! A little garlic aoili added delicious flavour too!
